How to Connect Mac to Projector - Mac OS X 10.5
Apple Mac computers and notebooks have different types of video out ports DVI, mini DVI, mini VGA, micro DVI ...etc, Rental Plus will provide you with the right adapter for your specific model if necessary.

Before you start

to prvent static electrical shock it's essential that you turn off both your Mac machine and the projector before you connect the video cable.
|

Remove the Lens Cap
|
|
 |
Remove the lens cap and make to put it back on after you finish using the projector, please aviod touching the lens with your finsgure as finger tips residue might cause light distortion.

Connect the Projector
|
|
 |
Make sure that both the laptop and the projector are turned-off before proceeding.

Connect the projector to the power using the power cord supplied to you. The Power LED will be flash Green (1.0s on, 1.0s off)

For each display you want to use, connect a video cable (and adapter, if necessary) from the video output port on your computer or graphics card to the video input port on the display. Make sure the cables are securely connected or you may not be able to see an image on the display.

Turn on the lamp by pressing the power button either on the top of the projector or on the remote. The Power LED will flash green (0.5s on, 0.5s off)

The startup screen will display in approximately 10 seconds. Adjust the zoom and focus by scrolling the wheels on top of the lens
Ensure that the power cord and signal cable are securely connected.

Turn on Your Mac

Turn on your Mac the projector will detect your source automatically.
if your projector does not detect the source automatically, follow these steps:

Make sure that the projector is setup to auto detect the video source (from the menu choose Input then choose Auto) some projector has an input button on top of the projector chases.

Depending on your laptop made and model some laptops video out port is disabled by default, please refer to activate video port document.

When you connect multiple displays, they show the same image (called “mirroring”). With some computers, you can also set your displays to extend the desktop, so a different section of your desktop is shown on each display. You can change this setting in the Arrangement pane of Displays preferences
